Hi – I’m Penny. Mum, wife, Early Years Teaching Assistant, tea drinker, WI member, crochet addict, radio lover and traveller!
Every since I first lost myself inside a Rough Guide I’ve been an avid traveller. Over the years I’ve flown all the way around the world and been to places as varied as New Zealand, Vancouver, Hong Kong, Helsinki and Swindon!
It’s not all about the destination though, as I also love different modes of transport and to me getting somewhere is part of the adventure. I’ve a soft spot for train travel, but I’m also keen to travel by as many different means as possible.
Sometimes I travel alone. Sometimes with my husband Bonn. And sometimes as a family. I have three children: a 15 year old music addict, a twelve year old transport fan and also Tube Baby a six year old, going on 16 who is the best traveller of the bunch, loves the outdoors and anything fun!
Covid and lockdowns disrupted our travel plans significantly, but we’re now back on track (literally) and make up for missed opportunities. If the pandemic has shown us anything it is how important making memories is, and also how beautiful staying local can be.
I try to share our travel adventures, big and small here on Penny Travels. I hope you come along for the journey.
